Bridging the Gap Training of Trainers Course

CCHCP’s Bridging the Gap is the premier medical interpreter training program.  Used all around the United States to professionalize interpreters, it is often used as a prerequisite for employment.

This Training of Trainers (TOT) class is appropriate for staff of agencies and organizations that employ interpreters in medical and/or social service settings.  The TOT class will provide participants with the curriculum, skills, and expertise necessary to offer Bridging the Gap in their home organizations.

A candidate must be sponsored by a qualified organization that is willing to enter into a license agreement with CCHCP to offer the training to its own staff or interpreter pool.  This includes the future use of CCHCP’s curriculum and all materials for the class.  All participants must be approved by CCHCP.

As of September 2017, CCHCP’s Training of Trainers (TOT) has been accredited by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) allowing graduates of the course to receive 16 continuing education units (CEU’s).
