CCHCP’s Connecting To Care: Patient Guide Training™  is a perfect way to provide medical interpreters with new skills and professional development opportunities. This training program combines the principles of workforce development and the field of patient navigation to build the internal capacity of existing interpreter programs, while also providing experienced interpreters with new skills to better support their patients and the treatment team.

This Training of Trainers  course is appropriate for staff members of agencies and organizations that employ interpreters in medical settings.  The institute will bring together leaders in the field who are committed to creating new opportunities for medical interpreters.

The Training of Trainers course prepares trainers to conduct Connecting To Care: Patient Guide Training™ curriculum in their organizations and communities. The class will provide participants with the curriculum, skills, and expertise necessary to train Connecting to Care in their home organizations.

A candidate must be sponsored by a qualified organization that is willing to enter into a license agreement with CCHCP to offer the training to its own staff or interpreter pool.  This includes the future use of CCHCP’s curriculum and all materials for the class.  All participants must be approved by CCHCP.
