About Us The Cross Cultural Health Care Program is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 whose mission is to help ensure underserved communities full access to quality health care that is culturally and linguistically appropriate. Our nationally-recognized medical interpreter training program, Bridging the Gap, has trained thousands of professionals around the United States and internationally. We train healthcare and other industry professionals to be more culturally competent in their approach to service delivery and we are recognized as the industry standard: a leader in the field of cultural competency trainings. And our Northwest Resource Center on CLAS and Health Disparities serves as a clearinghouse for resources and information on topics of interest to interpreters, health professionals, social service providers, and others working with limited English proficiency populations.
